Advanced creatines
Top of the line dry creatines, with recovery ingredients added.
Wet Creatine
The original, basic creatine monohydrate. Less expensive. Less efficient.
Creatine is an amino acid that's found in your muscles and your brain. Your body stores it mostly in your muscles, where it's used for energy. It can help an athlete to do more work during reps or sprints, and that allows you to build more muscle, more strength, and better performance.
It's also used by athletes to speed up recovery and to reduce injury and cramping. In older adults, it can improve cognitive performance.
We classify three groups of creatine products.
DRY CREATINE
This is a modern form of creatine. It doesn't require any pre-loading -- that is, it starts working right away -- and it doesn't cause water retention.
ADVANCED CREATINE
These advanced products contain dry creatine, and they add some further ingredients aimed at recovery.
WET CREATINE
This is the original form of creatine supplements. It's less expensive, but it does require a week or two of 'pre-loading' before it kicks in. It also results in some water retention, thus adding a bit of bulk (and also leading us to refer to it as 'wet' creatine).
